Standard Consultation

Standard consultations are 60-minute sessions, which include 50 minutes with your practitioner and 10 minutes for documentation. These are your regular, ongoing sessions with your practitioner.

Couple’s Consultation

$295

Couples therapy consultations are 60-minute sessions with both partners, which include 50 minutes with your practitioner and 10 minutes for documentation. Please note, it is standard to have one joint intake session (both partners with your practitioner) followed by individual sessions each with your practitioner as part of the assessment process. Ongoing sessions are usually held jointly, however, there may be circumstances where further individual sessions are indicated.

Professional Supervision

$190

Professional supervision (60 minutes) is available to mental health occupational therapists. Please contact info@sensatetherapy.com.au directly for inquiries.

Sensory Profile Assessment

$990

Sensory Profile Assessments and reports are available for adults and adolescents. The cost involves an initial consultation with your practitioner (75 minutes) and approximately 3-4 hours of assessment scoring, interpretation, and report-writing.

Please note that additional costs may be incurred, for example, if a separate parent/carer questionnaire and consultation is required to complete the assessment (this is usually required for children and younger adolescents). A report will be provided upon complete payment. It is recommended that a feedback session is booked (standard consultation) to review your Sensory Profile report and recommendations with your practitioner.

Please note that Sensory Profile Assessments cannot be claimed on Medicare. Options through your private health insurance or NDIS provider may be available – it is best to discuss with your provider directly.

Initial consultations are 75-minute sessions required for your first appointment, which include 60 minutes with your practitioner and 15 minutes for documentation. They are a once-off for your first consultation with your practitioner.

Medicare Rebate

Clients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) or Psychiatrist Assessment and Management Plan (PAMP). The Medicare rebate is $87.25 (i.e., the gap fee for a standard consultation would be $192.75). Rebates may be available via your private health insurer. These are dependent on individual coverage; thus, we recommend checking with your individual health provider to obtain a quote.

After Hours Appointments

As we understand that it is important to offer appointments for our clients to work around other commitments, Sensate Therapy offers after-hours appointments. Please note that appointments that end before 9am or start after 5:30pm incur a $15 additional fee.

Cancellation Policy

As per our cancellation policy, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointments. A cancellation within 24-48 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours will result in a full charge.

Referrals

You do not require a referral to attend Sensate Therapy. If you wish to claim a Medicare rebate, you will require a valid referral from your GP or psychiatrist and a MHCP or PAMP.
